SEND

At St Mary’s Catholic School, we believe that every child is a unique and precious gift. Our mission, rooted in our Catholic ethos, is to ensure that all pupils feel valued, supported, and able to flourish in every aspect of their development. We are committed to providing an inclusive environment where children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can grow in confidence and independence, achieving their potential.

Our provision is led by Mrs Banat‑Rinz, our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO). She works closely with pupils, families, teachers, and external professionals to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they need to access learning and achieve their full potential. We offer high‑quality teaching, targeted interventions, and a personalised approach that recognises the strengths and needs of each individual child.

St Mary’s is part of a wider support network available to families. As part of the statutory Local Offer, we provide clear information about the services, support, and provision available for children with SEND within the school and across the local authority. Our SEND Information Report and SEND policy helps families understand what they can expect from us and how we collaborate to ensure the best outcomes for all children.

Whether your child already has identified needs or you are seeking advice for the first time, we are here to support you every step of the way. We strive to work in true partnership with families, ensuring that St Mary’s remains a welcoming, nurturing, and fully inclusive community for every child.
