Absence from school
We greatly appreciate parental support in ensuring attendance remains high at our school. Parents are requested to inform the school of the reason for a child’s absence as soon as possible by telephone. If no message regarding the reason for absence has been received, then we will try to make contact with the parents to find out the reason for the absence as close to the close of registers as possible.
Please note Leave of Absence including holiday and extended leave cannot be granted unless there are exceptional circumstances. Please contact the school office for further information and a request form.
The school day begins at 8.55am – with access from 08:45. Children arriving after the class gates have closed should enter school via main reception. The Administrator will complete the late record, adding a reason for lateness. Where a child is persistently late the Head Teacher will ask to meet with parents/carers.
