Numbers Day | Friday 7th May (Fancy Dress)

We are delighted to be supporting the NSPCC by taking part in Number Day on Friday 7th May 2021.

It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3:

  1. Dress up in a number or maths-themed outfit
  2. Bring in a donation
  3. Have a day of maths fun!

Dress up for Digits. Pupils are asked to wear an item of clothing with a number on it (football shirt, cap, netball shirt or even a onesie!).  Or get even more creative by dressing in a maths or numbers theme… To help raise money for the NSPCC, we are asking for a suggested donation of £1, and we’d love everyone in the school to take part in this special event (Please send in a donation in a sealed envelope.)

COVID & contact tracing over Easter

Contact tracing for pupils is only necessary until Easter Saturday. After Sunday 4th, you do not need to let the school know about a positive case unless it affects your child’s ability to return to school after the holidays. If the result is from a home testing kit (LFT) then you should still let us know but book a PCR test to confirm: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/covidcommunitytesting

During the holidays the Family Information service is available as normal Telephone: 01926 742274 or email: [email protected]. Website: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/children-families

? Comic Relief – Joke book extension ?

To mark Comic Relief this year we’re asking children to pay £1 to add a joke to our school
e-joke book.  All children can send their joke in via our ‘joke generator’ web form

RED NOSE DAY UPDATE: Thank you all for your £1 contributions and jokes for our e-joke book which we’ll email out to all who donated as part of our Comic Relief fundraising. To ensure we have a lovely full joke book, we’re keeping the online form open until TUESDAY 23rd at 6PM. After that we’ll close the joke generator and it will be too late for your child’s joke to be added to the book.

If you would like a copy emailed to you, and haven’t already, please bring send £1 in to school next week in an envelope with your child’s name on it.

Regular Rapid Lateral Flow (Asymptomatic) Testing

On Sunday 28 February, the Department of Health and Social Care announced that from Monday 1 March, households with primary school, secondary school and college age children, including childcare and support bubbles, can test themselves twice every week at home.

Please be advised Primary school pupils are not being asked to complete Lateral Flow tests at this time.

If you wish to begin the twice-weekly testing program, kits are not available from school but can be accessed:

  • via employers if they offer testing to employees
  • by collecting a home test kit from a local test collection site
  • by ordering a home test kit online (please only do this if you cannot access the test any other way to save the deliveries for those who need them)

NOTE in Warwickshire the venues that do community antigen tests on site are different to those where you can collect the tests to take home, so please check before you travel.

Who can get access to regular rapid lateral flow testing?

The following people in England will have access to regular rapid lateral flow testing made available to them as schools reopen:

  • secondary school pupils
  • primary and secondary school staff
  • households, childcare and support bubbles of primary and secondary-age pupils
  • households, childcare and support bubbles of primary and secondary staff
