Photo diary – week six

For week six we are going to try something a bit different! Please join in by sending a clip of your child (or yourself if you are a member of staff or governor) dancing or singing to the Macarena, ideally a clip of them/you doing it four times so it goes the full circle! Don’t send films of the whole song! If sending clips of more than one person by email please send each clip in a different email. If sending by email, could also send another email with no attachments saying how many emails/clips you’ve sent we can check they have all been received.

Please contact your class rep for other options for sending through your files. We have a drop box account set up which is very simple to use. Cut off time is end of day on Friday 1st May.

Have fun … we’ll post the collective work product as soon as we can!

Netball news…

On Monday 3rd March, our Year 5 and 6 netball team braved the cold conditions to play their second match of the year against St Lawrence CE Primary School at Napton.
We were so proud of our team, who put in a committed and resilient performance throughout. Well done to all!

Peace Garden Opening – CANCELLED – this will be rescheduled to a future date

We are excited to be able to invite you to the opening of our new Peace Garden. This beautiful space has been created on the site of the old nursery building with a generous donation from the Sisters of the Poor Child Jesus, and support from FOSM. It grew out of designs made by the children themselves and is a space where they will be able to enjoy peace and quiet, contemplation and nature. There will be opportunities for gardening and outdoor activities.

At 2.30pm after an afternoon of gardening related activities the children and staff will join our Town Mayor, Councillor Mike Brooks, Father Arul, Sister Sharon and Sister Mary Paul, Parishoners, special guests and parents for the grand opening of the garden.

A cake sale and afternoon tea will the take place in the school hall following the opening. We hope that lots of people will come along and support this event, it should be a lovely occasion.

In addition to the financial contributions from the Sisters and FOSM, we also want to say thank you to Terry and Jackie Grey for donating a fabulous bench, and DobbiesGarden Centre for donating some wonderful trees.
